One last all-day tournament before summer, and one last chance at Champion T-Shirts.
The 2026-27 season goes out the way it should: a full Saturday of coed 6s at Yale Secondary on May 29, hosted with the Yale athletic department, whose athletes keep score throughout the event.
The May tournament is the most relaxed of our three fundraisers — school teams are wrapping up, league season is done, and rosters get creative. It is a favourite for league teams wanting one more day together, and for pickup squads built from drop-in regulars who have been playing side by side all winter.
The day follows our standard rhythm: check-in and warm-up at 8:00am, first serve at 8:30, a short lunch break at noon (pack food, nothing is walkable), afternoon playoffs seeded by the morning's pool play, and awards with winner photos at 3:45pm. Format is coed 6s with a minimum of two women on the court at all times. Top teams earn Champion T-Shirts, and we collect Abbotsford Food Bank donations at the door.
Entry is $270 per team or $45 as an individual. Individual entries get placed onto teams before pool play, which is honestly one of the best ways to meet people to play with next season.
